In the name of God, the All Gracious, the All Merciful

 

 

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

                                           وَالنَّازِعَاتِ غَرْقًا

By the ones who rip out violently.

 

5712 2969 4320 2235 1523 2

                                         وَالنَّاشِطَاتِ نَشْطًا

By those who gently draw out.

 

5713 2970 4321 2236 1524 3

                                      وَالسَّابِحَاتِ سَبْحًا

By those who float everywhere.

 

5714 2971 4322 2237 4

                                         فَالسَّابِقَاتِ سَبْقًا

Then race ahead quickly.

 

5715 2972 4323 2238 1525 5

                                          فَالْمُدَبِّرَاتِ أَمْرًا

Then execute all commands.

                                      يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الرَّاجِفَةُ

The day when everything will be shaken up in a quake.

                                             تَتْبَعُهَا الرَّادِفَةُ

Followed by aftershocks.

                                      قُلُوبٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاجِفَةٌ

Hearts on that Day will be terrified.

                                           أَبْصَارُهَا خَاشِعَةٌ

Eyes will be subdued.

                      يَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِي الْحَافِرَةِ

They will say; have we been resurrected from the graves?

                                    أَئِذَا كُنَّا عِظَامًا نَخِرَةً

-Even though we were rotten bones?

 

5722 2979 4330 2245 12

                               قَالُوا تِلْكَ إِذًا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌ

They also said; this is a losing proposition.

                                  فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ

However, it is indeed only a single blow.

                                        فَإِذَا هُمْ بِالسَّاهِرَةِ

Then they all will be awakened.

                                 هَلْ أتَاكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَى

Have you heard the story of Moses?

                     إِذْ نَادَاهُ رَبُّهُ بِالْوَادِي الْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى

When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa.

                             اذْهَبْ إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُ طَغَى

Go to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed.

                            فَقُلْ هَلْ لَكَ إِلَى أَنْ تَزَكَّى

And ask him; would you not move towards purification?

                            وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَى

And; I lead you to your Lord, so that you may attain reverence.

                                       فَأَرَاهُ الآيَةَ الْكُبْرَى

I will then show you a great sign.

                                          فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَى

However, he rejected it and rebelled.

                                           ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَى

He turned his back, and fled.

                                           فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَى

He then gathered an audience and proclaimed.
